About Singapore Kadayanallur Muslim Co-Operative Limited
SKML is the only Indian Muslim organisation in Singapore with its own financial services arm — Singapore Kadayanallur Muslim Co-Operative Limited.
Established in 1948 by visionary pioneers, the Co-Op was founded to provide essential financial support to the community, including deposit schemes and small loans. This reflects the foresight and commitment of its early leadership, who sought to empower the community at a time when formal banking services were scarcely available in the early 20th century.
Today, we carry that legacy forward with renewed energy and ambitious plans. The revitalised Co-Op is introducing innovative savings programmes and accessible micro-loans tailored to the evolving needs of our members — from families to micro-business owners.
